FRANKIE LIN
My story has been complicated from where I grew up to where I am now. I started learning the game of golf with a plastic club in my hand from my father. I was born in Taiwan and my family moved to the UK when I was 5 years of age; at the time golf was the only sport that I played, but then I eventually tried to play football(soccer) and tennis but that did not work out. I joined a junior program at The Cumberwell Park Golf Club which is in Bradford-On Avon England which was only minutes from where I lived. My golf coach from then until the time that I left the UK in 2016 was John Jacobs(head coach for the England national team). I also played two years of college golf at Hartpury college in Gloucestershire England and that was when I started taking the game seriously and wanted to pursue a life on the PGA tour.
Before I left the UK, I had won 4 events at a 16-19 age level, one of them being a big county event which was called the Beaut-Mount Peace Memorial Tournament at Tadmartin Golf Club England.

CAREER
I moved over to the US in the autumn of 2016 and started out at a Junior college in Petersburg VA called Richard Bland College. I then started working with Jeremy Anderson at the Golf Channel Academy in Phoenix AZ. I picked up 5 total wins, one of them being the region 10 championship tournament where I won on the third playoff hole, and qualified for both National Championships, but was only able to play in one due to a school information error.
The other 4 wins were both back to back season wins at the Cougar Classic and the Eagles Cup. At the end of both years I received the Player of the Year award from Richard Bland College. After the first season I also received National Recognition from the NJCAA. At the end of my full Junior college career my scoring average was 73.57 and I was ranked 23rd in the nation.
Then I moved onto Arizona Christian University to continue the pursue in professional golf, I played 12 events so far at the university and has toped 10's in 11 events. Final year scoring average for university is 72.88. I graduated the university in May 2021 and turned pro at the Arizona open in August 2021. Current professional competitive golf scoring average is 69.63
